November 11th is Veterans Day, the day we honor all our Veterans-whether they be living or deceased. It's also the day that Legion Post #91 begins its annual turkey drive to collect frozen turkeys, cashdonations, and supermarket gift cards for the benefit of our local Food Banks. We'll be in two locations on Nov. 11th, the new Veterans Monument at Moss cemetery in Cumberland Center, and at the Village Green in Yarmouth. Our Post members will be stationed at both locations from 9:00 AM to noon on that day, to receive your donations. Since the frozen turkeys are usually not on sale that far in advance of Thanksgiving, we suggest you purchase a $10 turkey voucher from us. That will allow us to shop when the sales start, and therefore provide more turkeys (and/or cash) to the Cumberland/North Yarmouth, and Yarmouth Food Banks.

If you wish to provide a frozen turkey or purchase a voucher, please call  829-8184 or e-mail jeevewhite@aol.com and we will gladly accommodate you. Please help us make this Thanksgiving a happy occasion for many deserving, local families.

Thank you for your support.
