Cumberland/North Yarmouth Lions Club Announces Speak-Out Contest Winners

Cumberland; The Annual Cumberland/North Yarmouth Lions Club Speak-Out Contest was held, Monday, March 12, 2018 during a regular Lions meeting. Three students from Greely High School made 5-minute presentations on a topic of their choice. They all did a great job!

Based on standardized contest judging criteria, the winners were: FIRST PLACE- Ben Hall, a freshman at GHS who spoke about "Food Corruption"; SECOND PLACE- Zack Whiting, also a freshman at GHS, who spoke about about "The Rationale for America Going to War"; THIRD PLACE- Dominic Gianattasio, also a student at GHS, spoke about the "Merits of Changing the Maine State Flag".

Ben Hall is now eligible to represent the Cumberland/North Yarmouth Lions Club at the Lions Club Regional Speak-Out Competition on April 14 at USM in Gorham.

Congratulations to Ben, Zack and Dominic and Good Luck to Ben at the upcoming Regional Contest!
