YOUTH SERVICES:


Begins Sept. 2, 2014 New Story Times: 

Toddler Time Ages 18 months – 3 years, Tuesdays @ 10 am 
Preschool Playhouse Ages 3-5, Thursdays @ 10:00 am
Baby and Me Ages birth to 18 months, Fridays @ 10:00 am


Begins Sept. 2 New Afterschool Wednesdays - Grades K – 5, Crafts, games, books. Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling.


Begins Sept. 3 (continues 1st Wednesday of every month) New Teen Writing Group, Grade 6 – 12th, 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Sign up! 


September 17, Wednesday @ 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Teen Author Talk with Sashi Kaufman, author of The Other Way Around, Grades 8 and up, books for sale, refreshments


October 1, Wednesday @ 6:00 – 7:30 pm, Maine Student Book Award Author Talk, Megan Frazer Blakemore, Grades 4 and up, special guest author, Devin Gifford, Greely Middle School 4th Grader, books for sale, refreshments.


ADULT SERVICES:


Begins Sept. 17, Wednesday, 3:00 pm, Maine Humanities Council, Let’s Talk About It discussion series, “Invisible New England: the Real New England” (Sessions are filled.)

September 24, Wednesday @ 6:30 pm - Author Talk with award-winning local poet, 
Jim Glenn Thatcher. Jim will read from his chapbook, THE UR-WORD. Jim has written for many newspapers and teaches at SMCC Midcoast. His poetry has been published in the Puckerbrush Review, Poetry Miscellany, Animus, and the Café Review, among other publications. Refreshments will be served.

Begins Sept. 25 Evening Book Discussion 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, Last Thursday of the month ( unless otherwise noted). All are welcome.
