Studio for the Living Arts Dance Complex to Host “Pulse Performs” Dance Showcase

On January 31, 2015, the Studio for the Living Arts Dance Complex located in Gray, Maine will present “Pulse Performs”. The event will be held at Windham High School at 2:00 PM. General Admission Tickets are $10.00 per person in advance or $12.00 at the door.  Doors open at 1:30 PM.

Each season the Company presents their new season's Repertoire in its entirety. The performance is sponsored by the Pulse Dance Company parents and all proceeds from the performance benefit the dancers Educational Fund Account which is designated for bringing master classes or other supplemental training classes to studio for the dance company members.  Additionally, Alumni of the Pulse and F-X Dance teams are invited as special guests of the event.  

The Pulse guided curriculum incorporates supplemental study through in house master classes, numerous performance opportunities, dance competitions, and dance conventions, to create a unique, rewarding, and 
enriching learning experience. Admission to the program is by audition only each June.

Studio for the Living Arts Dance Complex “Pulse Dance Company” is one of Southern Maine’s largest youth performing and competition ensembles consisting of 90+ dancers from over 20 different towns and cities. 

The Pulse Training Program for ages 7-18 consists of core classes in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip-hop, musical theater, lyrical, and acro as well as weekly choreography sessions.  Pulse Dance Company is open to serious and experienced Studio for the Living Arts dancers who have a desire to broaden their dance training and grow in performance skills.  The Pulse Dance Company makes it a priority to give back to the community and does so in a variety of ways, including hosting an annual benefit for Autism Awareness & Research. In addition, the group annually participates in “Perform for a Cure” raising funds for Cancer Research, dances at the Old Port Festival, half-time at the Red Claws, has featured in several times at “Best of Broadway” Benefit Show for the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, amongst many other community performances and as invited performers to other benefit performances.  Studio for the Living Arts was also honored with the 2012 Perform for a Cure Inspiration Award recognizing children who inspire other people with their artistic abilities and amazing community service work.
