Happy New Year!
Cabin Fever?  Tired of cooking?  Ready for an easier way?  To help transition from the holidays, we have arranged an easy and fun way for you to have dinner this coming Tuesday, January 7 – and benefit a good cause, too!  From 6:00 to 7:30 you can enjoy dinner at Pat’s Pizza in the Old Port and a portion of the profits will benefit “Book ME to Safe Passage”.  And your children?   For just $10 per child, your children will be fed, do arts and crafts and be entertained while you enjoy your dinner on the floor below.
Pat’s Pizza is located in the heart of the Old Port at 30 Market Street (alongside The Regency).  Valet parking will be available to make this an even more easy and fun evening for you and your family!
“Book ME to Safe Passage” will provide the child care, Pat’s Pizza will provide the children’s pizza dinner.  Book ME to Safe Passage is made up of Greely sophomores  Evan Carrell, Maegan Dougherty, Cat Maker, Erin Molloy, Colbi Munson, Meghan O’Donovan, Faith Price, Sarah Somes and Sophie Stickney.  In April, the group will be delivering over 50 children’s books written in Spanish, and sharing an educational project with students at Safe Passage.   Safe Passage, started by the late Hanley Denning of Yarmouth, Greely High School and Bowdoin College, brings hope, education and opportunity to the children and families living in extreme poverty around the Guatemala City garbage dump.
Book ME to Safe Passage wants to thank Chris and Jen Tyll for their generosity in making this evening possible and in sharing some of the evening’s profits for our international service project.
To help us prepare, it would be helpful if you would reply to this email to let us know if you are coming and the number of children you will be bringing.
We hope to see you there!
