MSAD #51 Construction Update

MSAD #51 Community,

Over the course of this summer several large construction projects will be happening throughout the MSAD #51 campus and we need your help to keep everyone safe and the projects on their designated timelines to ensure completion prior to the opening of the 2019-2020 school year.

Please take note of the following projects and safety precautions…

Mabel I. Wilson School Playground (Tuttle Town Playground):

From Thursday July 11 - Friday July 26

During this time, this playground will be CLOSED. This will allow the portable classrooms to be placed, fencing to be changed and playground equipment to be moved. There will be a number of heavy equipment vehicles within the fenced off area. Please, respect this closure and utilize the Greely Middle School playground until this phase of construction is complete.

Greely Middle School Sidewalk Renovation & Paving

From Monday July 15 - Friday August 2

The front entrance of the Middle School will remain open, however traffic patterns may change throughout the renovation. The specific area under renovation will be coned and roped off. Please stay out of that area and use extra caution.

District Office Ramp and Stairs

6-8 weeks starting July 7

The back entrance, handicap ramp and stairs near the parking lot are not available as they are being reconstructed. Temporary stairs are being constructed in front of the office (facing MIW). Until further notice, please utilize this entrance. If you are unable to access the stairs, please contact the District Office at 207-829-4800 and we will make arrangements to meet you at your vehicle or at another location on campus that is accessible.

Should you have any questions, please contact the District Office at 207-829-4800.

Thank you for your patience and support as we prepare the campus for the 2019-2020 School Year.

Scott Poulin
Director of Finance, Human Resources & Operations
