School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, Friday, October 23rd

A school bus driver is the first to greet your child with a friendly “good morning” and deliver your child to school each day with  “have a nice day”.  A warm greeting sets the tone for a student’s educational experience every morning.

Each day at 6am, our drivers grab the keys to the bus understanding the importance of their responsibilities: pick up each child, deliver them to school safely and bring them back home, ensuring youngsters are not dropped off to an empty home.  Likely that will not be the end of a bus driver's day as there are usually afternoon athletic and co-curricular trips that run well into the evening.  Step into those shoes, all while having sixty children in the back seat!

These are the professionals who at times drive in adverse weather conditions and deeply care for the safety of your child as though they were their own.  MSAD #51 is fortunate to have a great team of conscientious, highly responsible drivers who care about the children they drive every day.

Please join our district in thanking our bus drivers on School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, Friday, October 23rd.
